I purchased 2 queen Luna mattress protectors and pillow protectors 6 months ago and wanted to post a review based on my experience. Both my daughter and I have allergies to dust mites and were told by my neighbor that Luna mattress protectors may help. One of the mattresses was 17" thick so we weren't sure how well it would fit, but it easily covered the mattress nicely. The material is very high quality and washes easily. After about a week we could actually tell a difference in our allergies from before and after we applied the mattress and pillow protectors. One added bonus of the product was when our dog had an accident on the mattress. We were amazed to discover that nothing got through the cover, which was a great relief! This mattress protector has exceeded all of my expectations and I would recommend this to anyone!

I usually don't write reviews, but I had been looking to buy another mattress protector for my guest room and 2 full mattress protectors for my kids when I saw this product. I had never heard about them before. I actually bought 1 king mattress protector before from protect-a-bed in the past, but honestly I was shocked when I saw how much I was going to have to spend buying 1 queen and 2 fulls. So I started researching and found Luna. Their description was similar to the protect-a-bed one and it's less expensive so I decided to give it a shot.

I was pleasantly surprised when I got my package.. they are very good quality and also offer 10 year warranty. Another thing I think it is worth mentioning is that they are an American company. Their products are all made in USA.

I would definitely recommend this product. You pay less for a better quality product.

We purchased a queen and king Luna mattress protector along with standard Luna pillow protectors for our home. The package arrived quickly, which was nice as we had just purchased new mattresses and wanted to protect them. Upon initial inspection, the quality of the protectors were very good and you could tell the materials used were made to last.

The Luna mattress protector covered the mattresses very nicely like a fitted sheet. We had seen the same Luna protectors in the mattress store, but they were almost twice the price so we figured we'd try to save a few bucks and look on Amazon.

All in all we feel protected having applied the Luna mattress protectors as the salesperson at the store showed us a demonstration with colored water proving the material was waterproof. Waterproof, dust mite proof, hypoallergenic and half the price on Amazon..... Would recommend this product to anyone

This is my second Luna. The first one is two years old & still in very good condition. This product washes beautifully in hot water & dries surprisingly quickly in the dryer, It completely protects my mattress when my cat has a urinary temper tantrum on it. It makes no "plastic-type" noise & even straight from its packaging, has no odor. I would recommend this most highly, especially for those owned by their pets.

The queen size mattress cover we ordered fits our deep mattress very well without coming loose on the corners. It's the first mattress cover we've had on our bed in over 40 years that fits so well and maintains a smooth mattress surface without any crinkling 'plastic-like' sounds! I highly recommend this product.

I have purchased 3 of these mattress protectors and highly recommend them. We have family TV time on my bed which always includes drinks, snacks, and cats. We can enjoy ourselves without the slightest worry. We've had many drinks spill but don't have to worry about the mattress (Your pants still seem to catch the drink though. LOL)---During a commercial, we quickly pull the sheet off, wipe the mattress protector off with a wet cloth, blot it dry, throw on another sheet, and wait for the show to come back on. Our family gatherings aren't interrupted and the mattress is safe. When the sheets go into the washer, the mattress protector can too.

Our very first mattress protector was expensive but worth the money. With the Luna, we have the same quality and the savings too.

These protectors don't make you sweat like vinyl pads do. There's no noise as you move about either---it's the feel of a sheet with LOTS of protection for your mattress investment.

On top of that, the Customer Service was great.

I definitely recommend this product.

Let me start by saying this was exactly what I was looking for and am very pleased.

I have a dog that sometimes makes "mistakes" on the bed (errr).

I was sleeping on a plastic drop cloth under the sheets. Great for the problem, but mercy did it reflect the heat.

I got this Luna, and the first night, I was very disappointed because I woke up sweating like a pig, but I think it was just me. That was only that night (and I had been recovering from a cold). I feel NO heat radiating from the pad. I wonder if those reviewers that had problems with reflected heat had it vinyl/plastic/whatever side up rather than cotton (or whatever) side up.

After having this for a couple of months, my little doggie girl had an accident last night. It worked great at preventing it getting on my mattress pad and topper I have underneath.

I have a select comfort bed with all that foam and the additional really thick mattress topper (king size). The mattress protector fits great. No problem with the thickness of the mattress with topper.

I greatly recommend this product.

Washed great (and you can even dry it).

My wife and I recently purchased 2 new memory foam mattresses and wanted to purchase allergy pillow and mattress protectors that were waterproof. There are several on the market, but we chose to go with Luna based on the positive reviews we had seen. We were not disappointed when the protectors arrived. They went on very easily and makes no noise as advertised. The protectors are of high quality and we liked that they were made here in the U.S.A. Highly recommend!

I needed a mattress protector that would prevent my cat's claws from digging into our new mattress and this works great. Not only does it fit perfectly, it isn't too padded like some other mattress protectors, and it also seems to help keep the fitted sheet in place better. And, the price is great, much lower than those we found at other stores such as Bed Bath and Beyond. I would highly recommend this to anyone who needs an extra layer of protection for their mattress.

I initially had fears that the mattress protector would have a plastic sound to it and that the terry toweling would stretch away from the waterproof layer once it went through the wash, but it doesn't and has not.

It creates a nice layer of comfort between the sheet and the mattress without taking away from the contours of the mattress itself like other 'puffy' mattress protectors do. My husband had a tendency to wake in the night in a sweat from the polyester mattress but the mattress protector helps with that too.

The protector comes with a 10 year warranty and I think that far surpasses what is necessary for a product such as this, however it assures me of it's quality and the company's commitment of that.

This product arrived ahead of schedule and I am completely satisfied with the money spent. I used this mattress protector to replace another company's mattress protector that didn't completely fit my pillow top mattress. Luna'a protector fits perfectly and I can't even tell it's there under the sheets. I also bought this because I have allergies and would sometimes wake up all stuffy. This has greatly improved since I put this mattress protector on my bed. All in all a great product and money well spent.

This mattress protector fits my new Queen size mattress perfectly. Based on what I read on the internet I washed the protector before first use, and it indeed made the protector nice and soft.

I'm also glad I bought it from Amazon as it saved me money. The last time I bought a mattress I was pressured into buying a protector from the sales person and spent closer to $60 on a lesser quality protector.

At first I wasn't sure this protector would fit, but I was pleasantly surprised how well the protector covered the entire mattress.

Would highly recommend it to anyone looking at getting a protector for their new mattress.

I'm very pleased with this mattress protector. I didn't notice any off gassing, it doesn't make any crinkly noises, and it is comfortable to sleep on.
I bought two queen size protectors. It was very tight to put on my pillowtop mattress so it will be ages before I want to wrestle it off and on again for a wash. The other protector is on my futon and it fits loosely but it isn't a problem.
I have not tried out the waterproofness myself but I've taken the word of Amazon reviewers that it is excellent in that area as well

I recently purchased the luna premium hypoallergenic waterproof mattress protector in queen size. I was hesitant at first to buy a mattress protector since my husband and I had one previously that was vinyl on our old mattress and it was uncomfortable, we could feel it and hear it "crinkle" when we moved around in bed. But I was stuck because our kitten had peed on our new mattress after my husband had given her a swift kick when she bit his toe in the middle of the night and despite steam cleaning the mattress and washing the bedding she continued to pee in the same spot periodically. I saw that this product got great reviews from other animal owners whose pets were also mistaking the bed as a potty. I cannot testify to the absorbant nature of the mattress pad because ever since we put it on the mattress our little kitten has only used her litter box, but I do appreciate the peace of mind it gives me. If another accident occurs it is a heck of alot easier to wash the bedding and the mattress cover than scrub the entire mattress, which is a pillow top (You can imagine the nightmare that is). The mattress cover fits great, it definitely runs true to size. Additionally it is very comfortable, we don't even know that we are sleeping on a mattress cover, it certainly does not have that "crinkling" sound that the vinyl ones do. My husband says that he gets a little warmer at night since the mattress protector was put on, like some heat is getting trapped, and I have read other reviews stating this as well. But I myself have not noticed a difference in temperature since we put the mattress protector on so if it does hold heat, its only a minimal amount, for the most part I think it is rather breathable.

Basically, this product is wonderful, I would recommend it. In summary, it runs true to size, comfortable to sleep on, breathable for the most part, and I cannot testify to the waterproof nature of the product since our kitten is no longer confusing the bed with the litterbox, but I bought this product solely for the great reviews it got from pet owners with similiar difficulty with either their cats or dogs.

The store I had purchased my mattress from had tried to sell me a mattress protector for $100-150. I'm SoooO glad I found these Luna covers on Amazon. The Price is great, and its really soft and waterproof. I've washed it and its great.
I also love that it had deep pockets so you can fit a really thick mattress. I think I have a ~15 inch mattress with a pillow top, and there is still room to spare.

The Luna mattress protector covered the 15" mattress very nicely, like a fitted sheet. Didn't test for the waterproofing yet, but overall very pleased with the quality. I like that it thing, and does not "compete" with the plushness of the mattress, and has a feel of the sheet. No crunching noise either. I highly recommend this item. Comparing to Protect-A-Bed price (especially Protect-A-Bed store price) it's a great price for a great mattress protector.

Bought this mattress protector because I wanted a second. Its a great mattress protector at a reasonable price. No rustling noise, feather weight so that the mattress can do what you paid for... conform to your body. This protector easily accommodates a 17 inch mattress. It only has protection on the top sleeping surface, so if you need it for the sides, take that into consideration. Most people never will, but there's always the exception. I paid $89 for a similiar protector, from the retailer that sold me my mattress. Ouch. Save your cash and buy it here, you won't be disappointed!

This product was definitely put to the test when, a few weeks ago, a "friend" of mine made a mess on my bedsheets. Normally, this could ruin a bed, but this bed cover kept ALL of it off the bed. I just threw all sheets and this bed cover into the wash and it was like it never happened. Great product!

After a bad incident with my cat I was wary of cheap protectors that aren't waterproof.

When I got these I tested them under a faucet and they are actually waterproof. The terry cloth on top is soft and pleasant, the protector doesn't crackle and otherwise feels pretty high quality.

The only problem is that it only protects the top of the mattress. On the bright side, it slips on and off like a fitted sheet.

This mattress pad will fit up to an 18" mattress, or so the product listing states. Unfortunately I do not have a mattress that thick. Mine is about 11" thick and this pad does not fit securely over the mattress.

That said, it is something that I can live with, but people who are a little more particular about their pads might find this a little irritating. It requires repositioning the pad with each sheet change.

I am glad that I read the other reviews before I washed this. I selected one temperature below the recommended dryer level to avoid the possibility of overheating the coating on the underside of the pad.

I was surprised at how thin this cover was compared to my old one, and I had my doubts. However, it goes on the bed very easily. Second night in use, a glass of milk was spilled on it, and it did the job. Not a drop of milk seeped through. The cover washed and dried easily, and looked like new when placed back over the mattress. I'm very satisfied.

I've been on the hunt for a breathable waterproof mattress cover since buying a mattress last year that required us to mortgage our firstborn. Any kind of fluid whatsoever voids the 20-year warranty. After trying several covers, I'm starting to wonder if "breathable" and "waterproof" are mutually exclusive.

I was initially pleased by the cover. It has high-quality stretchy sides that allowed it to easily cover our extra-deep queen-size mattress. It handled the washer and dryer just fine, which boded well for its durability.

But I've finally come to admit that I just can't sleep with it anymore, as I wake up continually through the night sweating like I've been running a marathon. I don't typically have problems like that, but both my husband and I wake drenched. As the weather has turned warmer, it's now gotten to the point that I can't fall asleep in the first place due to the feeling of overheating. After having a dream last night that I was swimming, I cried uncle and took the blasted thing off the bed. I have to find something else.

I debated between two stars (because it's just unbearable for me at this point, thus useless) and three stars (because it truly does seem well-made and fits our huge mattress without a problem). If you tend to sleep cold as well as live in a cold climate, this may be a terrific find for you. Otherwise, I would be very wary of the heat-trapping issue.

I chose this mattress cover after an exhaustive search and thought I had made a good purchase. But upon trying to cover the mattress it seemed as though the elastic on the bottom was not going to be large enough or flexible enough to cover the mattress. We checked the tag of the cover and it said it was for a queen size and the top appeared as though it were large enough but after a few minutes of fighting with the elastic to get it on it ripped.
Perhaps it was just a random flaw, but very disappointing.

but this product is a garbage.
I wanted them to give me a twin size. but it ended up getting a much bigger one(king size something) doesn't freaking fit!
I'm returning it right now. WORST buy ever. and even the plastic cover shows its twin but it doesn't fit at all how awesome.
and just letting you guys know. I bought another mattress protector that has waterproof feature, and dustmites protection feature. and the same texture and feeling.
